"The Unravelling"
In the summer of 2011 I took a paper making class at the Morgan Conservatory, in Downtown Cleveland,Oh. I never knew it would be so involved...I have learned to appreciate handmade paper even more! Above is a piece of papyrus I made from corn husks, onion skins & radishes. I applied it to a piece of hand made paper that my teacher made. Although you can' really tell from this picture it is a beautiful deep, deep earthy purple which I feel helps to ground the scene of the unravelling. It was recently displayed at the AAWR winter show but I hope to find another show that will accept the work soon!
